Thanks to Timothy Cardinal Dolan for this wonderful prayer at the end of the RNC Convention.
I was a little nervous that people would go right on partying but they all seemed to calm down and pray with the good Cardinal. That’s impressive and respectful.
I don’t like to think of the political angle of prayers but I’ve got to think that if Cdl. Dolan mentions the right to life and those yet to be born at the DNC Convention there’s gonna’ be a lot of people either looking down at their shoes or maybe a riot. Not sure which.

Cardinal Dolan used every uniquely American iconic phrase that refers to God in his prayer. This was a very good move. It grounded the prayer in our Judeo-Christian heritage, and reminded all listeners that the USA believes in God. It was excellent!

The prayer of a hypocrite is never honored by God. This is just a Pharisee show prayer.
