Headline: “PETA Says Crazy Things.” In other news, the sun came up this morning.
PETA is encouraging at least one magazine retailer to place hunting magazines with their porn magazines out of sight of children.
CNS News reports:
In a recent blog post, PETA wrote: “If children aren’t mature enough to see nude human bodies, are they really mature enough to see people killing for ‘fun’?
Wait a second. Is porn bad again? I thought we were supposed to be handing out condoms to kids with their milk cartons in grammar school. I thought hiding sex away only leads kids to obsess about the dirty dark secret of sex and only make it worse. I thought we were supposed to teach children about sex so they could do it safely?
Come on. We should bring hunting magazines out into the open. Demythologize it. Shouldn’t children learn to hunt safely? Won’t hiding it away make children only want to hunt more? They’re going to hunt anyway, at least we can teach them to hunt safely.
Come on. Sometimes they make this stuff too easy for me to mock. Make me work a little folks.

Porn is a lie about human sexuality and PETA is a lie about animal husbandry. Animals vegetables and fruits and minerlas are all created to serve man. The animal is being fulfilled by filling (pun) man. The fish all jumped into St. Peter's net to become the breakfast of Jesus. If I were a fish, I would too. I don't think Jesus ate barracuda.

1. This is the same PETA that has things like http://www.peta.org/features/elisabetta-canalis-rather-go-naked-than-wear-fur.aspx
2. Last hunting magazine I saw had no actual killing photos.
3. OTOH, since they're so concerned about animal rights, no doubt they are all 100% pro-life right?

I wonder how anti-hunting these Peta-philes would be if they run smack dab into a grizzly bear during a hike?

I wonder if our Dutch friends Rik & Erik ever shot any Tofurkeys?

4. I'm sure they'll be fighting the HHS mandate because hormonal contraception hurts animals…
