Priest Told This Joke, Thought I’d Pass It On

This is just a funny little joke an elderly priest told us today.

A passenger in a taxicab touched the cabbie on the shoulder to get his attention. The driver jumped in fear at the touch, swerved into oncoming traffic, swerved back just in time and then came to a screeching halt right before crashing into a store front window.

The passenger said, “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you.”

The cabbie said, “It’s not your fault. This is my first day on the job as a cab driver. For the last 25 years I drove a hearse.”
