I like this Dad’s style.
A father, in China, was concerned that his 23 yr old son was spending way too much time gaming. So he did what any loving father would do. He hired a bunch of professional hitmen to kill his son, repeatedly.
A man in China hired virtual “assassins” to hunt down his son in online video games and kill off his avatar, according to local media.
The man, named by the Kotaku East blog as Mr Feng, was concerned about the amount of time his 23-year-old unemployed son was spending online.
He hoped his actions would deter his son from playing the games, he is reported to have said.
I don’t know how effective this technique might be, but I like Dad’s thought process here.

I think it's funny how much the guys name resembles "Kato", from the Pink Panther…

@Chris-2-4: How does the name "Feng" resemble "Kato"? Kotaku is the name of the blog, and it's some sort of play on the word "otaku" (a very formal second-person pronoun stereotypically used by nerds in Japanese, not Chinese).
As for the story itself, this is called griefing—deliberately screwing up someone's online gaming. Admittedly, this arises from better motives than just being a jerk, but, well…how many other people, trying to play the game properly, did these guys interfere with?
Your headline should've read "Chinese father too damn lazy or cowardly to keep his son from playing games, hires people to screw up the games themselves instead."
It's not actually hard to prevent people from playing games, without screwing up the games for other people. Feng's son either does his gaming in a home Feng can go to, or in a game-cafe Feng can follow him to. I guarantee you, if Feng goes to drag his son away from that, nobody in China is going to stop him.

Well, they're both four letters, aren't they, smarty pants?

Heck, griefers managed to drive me off of several servers, and they didn't even have a reason besides me being a very good victim! (That's why I hate PVP servers; even the RP/PVP servers just mean "don't go anywhere alone, even though the only thing you have to fear is massively geared up people attacking you for no bleeping reason.")
