Patrick’s a hunter so he probably would’ve pounced on the hurt baby deer and had it cooked up into a stew by the afternoon. But one couple saw a hurt baby deer and nursed it back to health. The deer didn’t seem to want to leave so they kept him in the backyard. Now, they’re facing charges and potentially jail time. It’s another case of big government gone bonkers.

Hey Matthew, the guy in the video who, along with his wife, saved and cared for the little deer is also a hunter. Didn't you see the camo "RealTree" t-shirt he was wearing? It is not unusual for hunters to save injured wild animals they find.

It is another case of government thinking it owns everything because they are in charge of keeping the peace. If the deer chose the lady as "mother", the state ought to up and choose the lady as "mother". "What God has joined together let no man put asunder."

Meanwhile, news personality David Gregory brandishes a 30-round
magazine on national TV — possession of such is a clear violation of
DC gun laws– and the DA declines to prosecute.
I cannot help but think that in this new America, if the Indiana couple
were better connected, or members of a favored class of people, or
bundlers for the DNC, that Indiana prosecutor would similarly decide
that the law doesn't really apply to them.

Re-read my post above, and I don't think I was fair to the Indiana
prosecutor. After all, he (or she) is simply enforcing the law as it's
on the books. However, I still don't doubt that if someone like Mr.
Gregory nursed that fawn, pressure would be brought to bear on that
Indiana prosecutor to be more, um, flexible.
