Ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner who’s still on the run from a citywide manhunt posted a rambling manifesto of sorts with messages for various celebritiesincluding Tim Tebow, Ellen DeGeneres and Charlie Sheen before his murder spree.
While many of his messages are positive in nature, at least one is a death threat of sorts to Cardinal Roger Mahony.
Cardinal Mahoney, you are in essence a predator yourself as you enabled your subordinates to molest multiple children in the church over many decades. May you die a long and slow painful death.
As far as I know, Dorner is still on the loose so I hope Cardinal Mahony is taking care right now.

Sounds reasonable to me!

Spoken like a true anti-Christ.

"Cardinal Mahoney, you are in essence a predator yourself as you enbled your subordinates to molest multiple children in the church over many decades. " Though spoken by a madman, it's exactly correct.

Oh, so he's right, is he? Well why's he go without mentioning the superintendant of LA's schools, which had a high molestation rate even for a public school district—and public school teachers molest at a much higher rate than the general public, let alone than priests (who have a much lower rate than laity, mostly because they don't have their own children to molest)?
Also, of course, the victims of the priest scandal were not children. They were adolescents, 90% of them male.
Dorner is what happens when you let the media define reality for you—you know only what they tell you, and give it as much weight as they do. Really the only thing shocking about this is that it didn't happen sooner.

Mahoney was and is a deporable self deluding man unworthy to be a priest bishop or cardinal of the Church. If you "like" him you are part of his circus of devotees who would follow anyone with a microphone, who lets you clap and adore.

John Fisher, Is that your real name? Or are posing as the English martyr who died for the Catholic faith?
In Cardinal Mahoney's defense, he regrets and has apologized for what happened. True predators do not. Predatory behavior is different than what Cardinal Mahoney did or failed to do. (Stick to what the word actually means. When people toss around inflammatory words for effect or emotional manipulation, they lose credibility.)

Unknown,
It is more proper to say that he says he regrets rather than interpret his actions. If he was really sorry, then his his apology for his failings on Jan 1, 2000, would seem a self serving and and beautifully manufactured lie. Besides it is also more proper to state that this crazy ex officer did not threaten the disgraced Mahony, just cursed him.

@John Fisher: you show me where in my comment you get the impression I like Mahoney. I said if Dorner wasn't a dupe who only knows what the media tells him, Mahoney would not be the first person he'd go after.
English, mammajamma, do you speak it?

According to "Unknown", Jack the Ripper could mitigate his behavior with an apology and no longer be considered a predator.

Mahoney should apologise for himself. His sleazy inner circle and self love… then write a letter to the Holy Father asking to be suspended from he clerical state… The crimes of Mahoney don't stop with his vile cover up. He should realise there is no forgiveness without personal recompense. Mahoney is not a Catholic Christian but a dissenter on many issues who has seriously corrupted the fidelity to the Catholic Faith of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles which is known as a sad joke in the Catholic world.

I must've missed the Council or encyclical stating that it's licit to murder people in the street—which is what we're talking about here—for Mahoney's crime.
At the very least, an inquisitorial trial is called for before we start okaying lone gunmen. Or did you maybe forget what the context of this post was, in the endorphin rush of your own self-righteousness?
