An eight year old girl was sledding on Long Island yesterday and was involved in a terrible collision with a tree, according to news reports.

Prayer circles have been started for an 8-year-old girl involved in a sledding incident.

According to Nassau County Police, at 2:23 p.m. Sunday, the girl, while sledding at Plandome Country Club, collided with a tree. She experienced head trauma and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

Though police had no update on the girl’s status at this time, the Port Washington community, including members of St. Peters and Community Synagogue, is joining in prayer for her recovery and thoughts for her family.

From what I understand the little girl attends St. Peter’s school and they held a Mass for her this morning. Please keep this little girl and her family in your prayers.
