This new movie coming out about exorcism looks totally straight-to-video but it’s actually coming out in the movies next week. It just looks so bad. I mean, come on, isn’t the whole thing with the menacing look upwards at the camera just totally overdone?
Doesn’t that remind you of:
I’ll admit I find the Sean Penn once a little scary. OK. A lot scary.
And there’s also the laughable fact that this is a sequel leads me to believe that they lied the first time when they called it “The Last Exorcism.” And if this makes any money at all you just know there will be another last exorcism.
This is the kind of movie that seems like it plays fast and loose with the very real fact of evil. It makes evil look like a thrill ride, a roller coaster. It’s dangerous. And it’s just cheap too.

Well, I can't really argue with any of your criticisms. Still, the first movie involved a botched exorcism by a protestant faith healer, so if there's a positive message to be found, it's that you should at least have the sense to call in the Vatican trained professionals for stuff like this 🙂
