I like Jane Goodall. She seems nice enough and she looks like Mrs. Claus but instead of being surrounded by elves she’s got monkeys all over her.
So I like her but I still don’t think she should be lecturing at a Catholic college. She’s strongly advocated birth control as a means of slowing climate change.
Goodall is a population control advocate and pointedly accused the Catholic Church of standing in the way of reducing the population, saying, ”The Catholic Church makes quite a major problem when you are trying to balance between people and their environment and that’s what has to happen.”
So it makes perfect sense that Gonzaga University is having her in to speak about her beliefs on the environment and animal rights, according to the Jesuit university’s website.
I could understand if she were there to debate these issues but let’s face it, that’s not what’s happening here. I’m sure she’s being lauded and praised as we speak.
Goodall is there as part of the Presidential Speaking Series. The last invitee was Thomas Friedman who has praised China’s disgusting one-child policy, saying it “probably saved China from a population calamity.”
Anyone here noticing a trend?

Uh. Saved china? More like created a different nightmare. I think they call it the "law of unintended consequences".
But listen. These pulsation control people don't really have a meaningful plan. They are only trying to suppress further births by any means necessary.
Reality is they need a plan that embraces all vantage points and defines clear goals. That's why they are a mishmash of good and bad ideas. Both of which are equally and poorly implemented by uninformed politicians.
They offer no suggestions on resources, food production and distribution, nor retention of wealth gained through work versus corporate expoloitation.
Finally, they have been chanting this mantra for 40 years and 3 billion people later, we can feed ore people than ever.
The sad part is, I think they have a point. The sadder part is they are so ignorant in how to do it and are only really spouting leftist dogma, that there is no point in taking them any more seriously than PETA.

What an embarrassment that we have people like Friedman praising China's outlawing of brothers and sisters. The one child policy is evil, through and through

"pointedly accused the Catholic Church of standing in the way of reducing the population".
Uh.. Guilty, your honor!

Apes! They're apes, not monkeys! Chimpanzees are great apes!

I'm surprised she's still alive. What? Is she like 125 years old or something.
All kidding aside, I'd like to ask Ms Goodall that as the Nazis did with the handicapped what would b so terribly wrong of an environmentally-focused policy to round up people of age-like herself-and cart them off to death camps?

I'm just tired of these global warming/climate change and over-population myths. The earth has not warmed up a bit in the past 20 years, and the human birth rate is slowing at an alarming rate. Why don't the facts get broadcast as loudly as the lies?
More importantly — why are some universities in this country allowed to continue claiming to be Catholic?

It is extremely sad to see what's happening to Gonzaga University. Our daughter attended GU 10 years ago because of it's Catholic reputation. At the time, Fr. Robert Spitzer was at the helm and he did so much to reclaim the University back into Catholicism. But since he left in 2006, they've been in a steady, downward, anti-Catholicism spiral. Story after story is reported as they embrace culture of the dark. Just the past week, they were in the news as students are not allowed to start a Knights of Columbus chapter on campus because the Knights are for Catholics only and it's a men's-only organization. GU prides itself on "not discriminating". The darkness continues to creep in and someday will take over completely. The director of Student Life is a sister to Sebelius, Pelosi and Biden. Stand back and wait for the lightning bolt.

CO2 global warming is a hoax. Animals and humans inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide (CO2). Plants counteract by taking in carbon dioxide (CO2) through their leaves and releasing oxygen. We cannot survive without plants and plants cannot survive without us. If the CO2 level in the air became too rich, the plants would then flourish, growing fuller and more rapidly, therby producing more oxygen. If the oxygen level became too rich, we would flourish and have less sickness, which would cause longer life spans and produce more carbon dioxide. God created our environment to be able to retain an overall equilibrium. Global warming is just an excuse to control the earth and the people in it. It is just another excuse to pass unneccessary taxes and control on people. If they were really concerned about the environment then they would put regulations on manufacturers that would force them to create more durable products (like we used to have) which would cause less waste to be disposed of…but that's not profitable to the ones at the top.
