Wait, did I say “target?” I know, we’re not allowed to use that word anymore. So what word do I use when Democrats in Congress and the Senate are focusing exclusively on something with the goal of wiping them out? Oh yeah, target.
Democrats in cities have long been on this kick that crisis pregnancy centers deceive women into keeping their babies, because, you know, the only women that actually choose life must have been deceived into that crazy choice.
The Hill reports:
Democrats in the House and Senate are looking to stop what they say are deceptive advertising practices by anti-abortion health clinics that imply they offer abortion services, but instead encourage birth and promote adoption.
The legislation is aimed at crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs), which are clinics often set up by a church or other anti-abortion groups. Democrats in Congress and other pro-abortion groups say these clinics are known to indicate they can perform abortions in order to attract pregnant women patients, and then try to convince them to carry their babies to term.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), the House sponsor of the Stop Deceptive Advertising for Women’s Services Act (H.R. 2030), said CPCs should not be allowed to deceive women who are seeking information about their pregnancy.
“Women shouldn’t be deliberately misled or coerced when they seek legitimate medical services,” she said when she introduced the bill last week. “While I will defend crisis centers’ First Amendment rights even though I disagree with their view of abortion, those that practice bait-and-switch should be held accountable so that pregnant women are not deceived at an extremely vulnerable time in their lives.”
Her bill would give the Federal Trade Commission the ability to investigate reports of misleading claims from CPCs, just as it can investigate other consumer products and services.
The bill is supported by the National Abortion Federation, whose president, Vicki Saporta, said that CPCs “have a long history of intentionally misleading women to prevent them from accessing abortion case.”
Ilyse Hogue, the president of NARAL Pro-Choice America, added that she is “thrilled that Rep. Maloney is acting to hold these fake ‘clinics’ accountable.”
Anyone looking into the deception that Planned Parenthood is pro-family when 97% of pregnant women who walk into a Planned Parenthood kill their unborn children. Or the fact that Planned Parenthood has said numerous times they perform mammograms when they actually don’t.
You know, maybe these Democrats aren’t actually against deception so much as they’re against choice.

The Dems consider any group that engages in deception as competition, and they don't like competition.
(I'm not agreeing with the Dems' opinion that CPC's are using deception, btw)

I want an example of a CPC that actually pretends to offer abortions. I have NEVER seen anything like that!
Planned Parenthood are the real deceptors… not letting women see the ultrasound images, lying about how far along a woman is when she goes in for a pre-abortion ultrasound, not giving accurate information on embryonic and fetal development! Just the very name "Planned Parenthood" is deceptive. They do not offer pre-natal care, they only offer care for those who do NOT want parenthood.

Catie is right! Where are the CPC's that pretend they are offering abortion? The notion that women get sucked in to a CPC thinking they will get an abortion and then are somehow deceived into keeping their babies because of help with pre-natal care, housing, day-care, even toys and diapers is just foolishness.
CPC's provide women with the incredibly valuable services of real medical information, actual access to medical care, some time to think, and aid with the basic things a pregnant mom needs.
How twisted is the so called pro-choice lobby that these organizations are the 'dangerous' ones while 100's of Gosnells still exist in America.
