Sister Teresa Forcades is one of Catalonia’s foremost political figures, but the nun’s ideology is radically feminist and left-wing. In this video, she speaks to the UK Guardian about the need for an alternative to capitalism and criticized the misogyny of the Catholic church.
Just the kind of leadership the Church needs, right?

She genuflects, though.

But her use of the term 'Roman' Catholic, and view on the priesthood and authority indicates she shan't be staying with us for long. Celebrity is dangerous. It makes people think they are prophets.

Misogyny – twaddle. It wasn't until I entered the Church that I learned what it was to be truly respected. And the left reduces women to toys 24/7, with it firmly enshrined in the platform of the Democrat Pary. Don't tell me about misogyny – every liberal male I know is guilty of it.

Pride goeth before the fall. She talked a lot about Catalonian independence, various forms of imperialism and feminism, but never mentioned Jesus Christ. Of course.

I synmpathize with Sister's feeling second rate in the Spanish Catholic Church. I have lived about four years total during fourteen visits to Spain. It is difficult for me to be a Catholic there. I was told many times by Spanish priests that they were the experts, that I knew nothing. When a Spanish friend told me that if there were another civil war, people would kill the priests again I understood how she felt. The Catalan nun calls this misogymy. I am a senior male. Is there a term for the way some Spanish priests make me feel?

I'm a liberal male… Please, describe to me how I'm misogynistic. I'm curious.

"It is difficult for me to be a Catholic there. I was told many times by Spanish priests that they were the experts, that I knew nothing."
I find that it is difficult for me to be a Catholic anywhere! This world is not really receptive to it. That's just it though; we're not really made for "this" world. As for the Spanish priests, as much as I understand when people say "they represent the church", you have to be able to understand that they are not the CHURCH – the logos, the living Christ. I would have to write off EVERYTHING if I judged it solely by my immediate experiences.

Liberals are misogynistic by supporting "choice" – a deceitful tactic that reduces women to mothers of dead babies.

Misogyny in the Catholic Church? Hogwash!
Try Islam, then she'll know what that word means – after a few lashes, a rock on the head and being violated in a way Mohammed does 9 year old girls.

perhaps sr. should watch the stoning of soraya m if she wants a 'taste' of what Spain is about to face…then we'll see how our dear sister feels.

She claims that the women are subservient to men, but really we all are subservient to CHRIST through His representatives, who are led by the Holy Spirit.
