I know this will come as a shock to you, but Obama’s new head of ‘Faith-based Initiatives’ is on record saying he is ‘glad civil religion is dying.’
(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State John Kerry announced Wednesday the formation of the Office of Faith-Based Community Initiatives, which will be headed by Shaun Casey, a former religion advisor to President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign and a liberal professor who last year touted the end of ‘civil religion’ in the United States.
“I, frankly, am glad American civil religion is dying,” Casey said at a discussion last year at the Center for American Progress focused on “God and Politics” in the last presidential election.
This is what it is all about. Obama and the progressives want no less than the removal of all faith and faith expression from public life. They are so open about it, I don’t know how anyone could still possibly deny it.

Please be fair, and accurate. Casey did not say anything about "the removal of all faith and faith expression from public life." He was talking specifically about "civil religion," which is a politically-infused form of public religion. (The term was invented by Rousseau, who no friend of traditional religion.) Casey was making the point that politicians have often exploited "civil religion" to shore up immoral practices such as slavery.
You should know as well as anyone that sound bites taken out of context are often misleading.
