CatholicChurchReform.com’s video is just too awesome not to share.
1) It’s clear everyone just memorized their lines about three minutes before. It’s easy because it’s all about threatening to become Episcopalian and making the Church a democracy.
2) Then. Oh boy. Then comes the song. I’m serious. They have a song. And it’s just too cheesy for words.
3) The comes about a minute of pure blank screen. I mean…just nothing. And then in the last few seconds up pops an unedited few seconds where the person behind the camera is practically yelling at the poor guy that he needs to “project, project, project!” And it’s all supposed to look like off the cuff man-on-the-street interviews. Hilarious. Love it.

The church REFORMS people.. not the other way around. Thanks Catholic Church for this wisdom.

Is the shaking camera supposed to be artistic? It makes it look like a twelve year-old made it. Get a tripod, fer cryin' out loud!

I suggest that we all go sign phoney names. 🙂
Tertullian, Palagius, Arius, Zwingli, Calvin, etc.

I couldn't finish it. Funny how I can be focused and actively participating in the Mass for almost an hour but my ADD kicks in when I watch this stuff.

Funny, but some seriously sad stuff. Is it wrong that I started to really groove during the song? It is like the music at most parishes these days. 🙂

Comercials do this all the time, but typically they have the words "paid actor" in the corner of the screen. This is probably something like that, just unfinnished. Its obviously a comercial.

That is just sad…

Went to the website. Worse than the video. I think they are serious!

And for those who argue the Church doesn't give Catholics the freedom to choose, I say of course you have a choice: excommunicated or not excommunicated!

Notice they aren't even brave enough to say what "changes" they want, beyond "democracy."
Except for the guy who can't project. I'm still not sure what he wants. Did he say, as I think he did: "Maybe they'll let us have all the same desserts?" (because you know, I could get behind that). Or is he saying something else?

that would sway my decision as well. A little anyway.

On the website, they do say what they want, and it's all the usual stuff ad nauseam.

Aw, the video was taken down. Way to go, Matt.
