Two Colorado State Senators who rammed through gun restrictions have lost their jobs because of it. Good.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — In an unprecedented backlash, two state lawmakers who helped stiffen Colorado’s gun laws were ousted Tuesday in a recall that turned into a nationally watched referendum on gun control.
Colorado Senate President John Morse, who shepherded the legislation to passage, was defeated on a 51%-49% vote. Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo, a fellow Democrat who voted in favor of the measures, lost 56% to 44%. They were replaced by Republicans who opposed the new restrictions.
Even the millions spent by Nanny Bloomberg on this election could not overcome the ire of people whose clearly expressed views were ignored by their representatives. Some estimates say that Morse/Giron had an 8:1 money advantage over the recall side and they still lost. That is a very important message. Very important.
It is important that messages such as these be sent by the people. Don’t do your job, lose your job.

S voting in people who reflect your values works. Now maybe we should do this over an issue that matters. Catholic values and not the tolerance tyrants or the pro corporate party.

This recall and the result should serve as a reminder to these "rulung elites" that the people are the SOVEREIGN, NOT them.
Serves Morse and Giron right, if they rammed those bills through without a public hearing or a vote of the people.
