Musician/ activist Bob Geldof is warning that climate change may kill us all within the next 17 years.
This is a case of yesterday’s news warning about yesterday’s news. This is like Rick Astley holding a press conference to warn us about Y2K.
“The world can decide in a fit of madness to kill itself,” Geldof reportedly told a group of youngsters. Sheesh. That’s the way to talk to kids. I’m surprised he didn’t also tell them Santa Claus isn’t real.
Hmmm. Maybe talking to kids isn’t Geldof’s thing.
“We may not get to 2030,” he reportedly said. “We need to address the problem of climate change urgently.”
And that means that we should all do what Geldof does like dyeing our hair blonde and acting self righteous.
I wonder if blond hair dye might just have some side effects of self-importance and increasing a penchant of saying outlandish things.

Poor Bob. Bob is a Southsider (South side of Dublin) and from the wealthy part too. Most of them are wafflers and spoofers (except my cousins) and Northsiders (real Dubs) don't pay them any attention whatsoever. Neither should anyone else. God help him he has never gotten over not being a rock star anymore. 🙂

Jesus said that only God, the Father, knew the time. Maybe this guy thinks he is God.

Of course, Sinead O'Connor is from the same area too – must be something in the water!!

I would really like to know where these clowns come from. They seem to pop up like mushrooms.
Great post, by the way.

Come on you guys. He's an actor, an entertainer…a (gulp) celebrity. They are better than us. They know everything. They want to tell the world not to control people…by forcing you to adopt their agenda. APparently, that makes sense.

Poor old Mr. Geldorf appears to be embalmed already in anticipation of the event.

Seriously? He's famous for being famous. The one thing he did that I thought was very kind was to become guardian to his ex-wife's daughter after both the kids parents died, saying she should be raised with her sisters. Otherwise? Would someone put on a benefit concert for the US?

Maybe he just needed a reason to hate Mondays?
