This is a shock. The prolific Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters.org has passed away from cancer at the age of 53.
Please pray for the repose of his soul.
Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Claiming that Vatican II is not a valid council is not adhering to the unchanging Deposit of faith, nor is claiming that the church is no longer catholic.

I think that it is unreasonable to make an accusation and refuse to back up that accusation with evidence. Saying that you don't want to pick a source is a copout.

Ma'am, is this what you refer to?

Wouldn't multiple choice imply at least one being accepted by the hive mind? oh I mean "free thinking modern people".. I forgot they like to pretend.

You have to because the some bishops won't.

I did find some references to this:

http://catholicforum.fisheaters.com/index.php/topic,3458396.0.html
The former is a more general view on the practices of that region and the latter is a forum post with a direct link on the event in question.
First, I am curious how much Crd. Bergoglio knew of this, since it wasn't celebrated by him. But whether or not, it seemed it was part of the policy at that time.
Second, as far as the children are involved. They are innocent of their parent's actions and I think one cannot dismiss out of hand then Crd. Bergoglio assertion that it may be a transformative experience, a window to grace to the parents. Personally, I think as far as the children are involved, the door should be wide.
That said, as far as the sacraments of communion (Florencia) and confirmation (above). That does require consent of Church doctrine and repentance. That is a sacrilege in these cases.
So yeah, I'm sympathetic to the intentions of the Beanos Aires diocese in regards to baptism. But yes, those ladies should not receive confirmation without proper disposition.

What about the First Council of Jerusalem in Acts? Or the entire book of Acts in general?

How selfish of these women to bring a child into their disordered relationship. Don't have a problem with the innocent baby being baptized BUT Confirmation for these ladies, really?

So it is a valid council, but do did it teach us ANYTHING NEW????? ….any new required belief or dogmas that werent there before… NOT…. Spirit of vatican II – GO AWAY. Real actual Vatican II, you're OK with me, I accept you, but now I ignore you because you were a mostly irrelevant pastoral council.
I accept and ignore Vatican II, just as many other people accept but ignore the Council of Trent. I attend the latin mass and study Peter Lombards "The Sentences" and pretend modern history and modernist theology that led to this travesty never happened.

Unreal.
Some much in recent years reminds me of a verse taken from Elliots poem of death and decay in post-war London:
What are the roots that clutch, what branches grow
Out of this stony rubbish? Son of man,
You cannot say, or guess, for you know only
A heap of broken images, where the sun beats,
And the dead tree gives no shelter, the cricket no relief,
And the dry stone no sound of water. Only
There is shadow under this red rock,
(Come in under the shadow of this red rock),
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Father mentioned this video in his homily today; saying he had no experience with blindness or any other sense deficiency and the closest he had to go by for seeing for the first time was this beautiful video of the woman hearing for the first time.
March 31, 2014 at 3:40 am
No. That wasn't what was said. Spirit of Vatican II clowns is a reference to those who say something is from Vatican II but it isn't in the documents.
March 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm
She backed it up just fine your simply being deliberately obtuse.
March 31, 2014 at 4:27 pm
Where did she back it up? I don't see her cite a single source. Can you clarify?

My attitude in similar situations is that I don't trouble myself to do others' research. I tell them the articles are there, because I know they are, and it's up to them if they want to use their time – not mine – to search for them
Are you too lazy to do your own search? She gave you enough. Your contentiuosness further justifies her decision not to bother with you.
You're fortunate to have gotten as many replies as you did. I would have blown you off after your first outburst.
