“To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world. In Portugal the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved . . . “
Once again, an aggressive and militaristic Russia dominates the news. That country, under the dictatorship and thumb of a thug, threatens its neighbors once again with annihilation.
As Catholics, how should we respond? We should pray, of course. But there is more we can do. That country is in dire need of conversion (as are most countries in the world) and while the Orthodox Church has been given more freedom in post-Soviet Russia, the people are far from converted. Abortion rates in Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union are the highest in the world. While the Orthodox Church has made some inroads with the people of Russia, its reach is still very limited and even in the best of interpretations, the lack of communion with the Holy See represents a serious problem for the Russian people.
Because of Russia, souls are perishing, the world is threatened with war, and nations continue to be annihilated.
More is needed. What is needed is that Russia should be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Russia is a country in dire need of the assistance of our Blessed Mother.
Wait!!! Hold your horses there bub. The consecration of Russia was already accomplished in 1984. Are you one of those Fatima deniers?
No.
I do not doubt…

Mr Archbold:
I love ya, and I love your column, but with all due respect I have to say that you've got this Ukraine situation exactly backwards. I certainly don't blame you or anyone else for holding this opinion since we have all been inundated with mendacious propaganda from our government (that's the same government that is pushing abortion and sex perversion down our throats and trying to reduce us to penury) and its media. But we do have an internet where alternative news can now be had.
If I may, I'd like to recommend your reading of some articles by folks who are taking a very close look at that situation. Once you see the "other side" of the story you might begin to wonder who the real villains are in this escapade. I would highly recommend Daniel McAdams, Paul Craig Roberts, Patrick Foy, Dr William Engdahl and others frankly too numerous to list here. But it would be a good start. It would also be a solid education into the activities of the actors behind the coup in Kiev. It also helps to know a little of the history of that region as well.

This from a man who allegedly told a pregnant woman in his employ to "just kill it" so it would not interfere with her job.
I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch, Mike. No matter how loaded you are.

Nah. Russia should consecrate us. This post is like some weird Catholic experiment with LSD. Fatima prophecy + anti-Russian propaganda from a failing U.S. media/state department. The U.S. government can't keep their hands to themselves, and the Russian finally said enough. China is largely in agreement with them. Tax day just passed- aren't you tired of paying for war, abortion, inflation, and whatever else they dream up?

Guess Mr. Bloomberg hasn't read the one about the rich man and the needle.

Hey Mayor: Good luck with that!
April 16, 2014 at 7:10 pm
Hey Mayor. God loves you. But it's his call as to when we enter Heaven, not ours. Before you die I pray you are enlightened.

An acquaintance elsewhere commented that this farce is more satanic than satanic masses. I think there's something to this. At least there's a certain honesty with avowedly satanic masses. But here it's full of sweet deception, in accord with the father of lies.

And thus he's committed the sin of presumption.

I myself would be hesitant to take guidance on matters of faith from a Bishop who was, until recently, formally excommunicated from the Church, whose attitude toward the See of Peter since having his excommunication lifted in an act of mercy by the Pope has been frosty at best, and who holds authority over a society of Priests who cultivate flocks around themselves despite not having faculties to hear Confessions (under normal circumstances) or witness weddings.
But that said, though I find Bishop Fellay's society to be off-putting (just like St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis), and though I would consider dangerous to one's spiritual life to attend one of their chapels regularly to the exclusion of a proper parish (just as I would for St. Joan of Arc in Minneapolis), I would most certainly never describe a Mass said by one of their priests as "demonic." Because however misguided the society may be, and how dangerously close to schism they may be, when one of the society's priests says Mass Jesus Christ is made present in the Sacrament for the salvation of souls.

Uuuhhhhm, Mike.
Before submitting that signed, highly ambiguous, check off chart declaration to heaven. I would reread that fine print, full disclosure humanity clause with the human race located in the last paragraph, subsection A. Notably the "Ten Commandments"!
Seems like you have issues with, maybe, more than half of them. It only takes being found seriously in error with just one to be sent to "hell" for!
Oh, by the way,
In reality, your not even going to be put on the score board, with that massive eugenics program you over saw under your administration! Kinda' functioning well into the negative there. Right uo there with all the other mass murderers in history! Unless you think pharaoh, herod, hitler, stalin and mao are your personal, canonized patron saints!
sheeeeesh!
April 17, 2014 at 4:45 am
Ok even if we go with your assumption that this was a valid Mass…. (previous year videos of this event showed the only person wearing vestments at the altar was a woman)… Do you honestly believe that even one person who was there had their faith increased? Just what do you consider a bad thing when done at a Mass?
April 17, 2014 at 4:58 am
HOW CAN ONE WITHOUT DOUBT KNOW THAT !!!!! Please tell me. In this world we live in I could truly use that ability. I have been to churches for weddings and funerals that there was no possible way to even pretend that the priest believed that God was present in any way. How can I without a doubt know that Jesus was present?????
Below from the Catholic Encyclopedia, Can one not imagine that a priest who trots into church dressed as a donkey centaur very possibly might be manifesting defective intentions?
Why, for instance, is there a valid consecration at Mass when the priest pronounces the words, "This is my Body", but no valid consecration when he pronounces the same words in the presence of bread whilst reading from St. Matthew's Gospel in a community refectory? Still the Church trusts to the Providence of God to watch over all such defective intentions as are not externally manifested, and assumes that the minister's intention is correct in every serious administration of her own rites, even when he is — like Cranmer, for instance — a person of heterodox opinions. Where, however, a defective intention is manifested externally, she must deal with it

Now that we have seen this abuse, let's once again say in chorus, "where is the Bishop?" I'm sure, just like with so many other Bishops, and with so many other abuses, this Bishop will once again hide under a rock over this.

No Grace. No cross. No kidding. He did get one thing right . . . he's not going to be interviewed. Think Monopoly: Go to Jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

This is the single best thing I have ever read on the Fatima request for the consecration of Russia.

Do you know that what Jesus did in the "upper" room, aka heaven, was the Passover meal? Jesus didn't END the Passover meal, he brought it to its ultimate meaning, and instituted the "new heavenly banquet" for his disciples to do. The Old Covenant , which began in Egypt when the JEWS slaughtered a lamb, put the blood in the lintel of their house, THEN THEY HAD TO EAT THE FLESH OF THE LAMB". The old covenant was "ratified" on Mt Sinai (heaven itself) when Moses and the elders "they beheld God and did EAT AND DRINK" (EXO 24:11) What does Paul tell us? "Christ, OUR paschal lamb has been sacrificed, therefore, LET US KEEP THE FEAST."

Hey, Mon petit fleur;;; Es Muy bonito, too!
I think you are over-powering for these people…
(Don't you think it is strange that most of these people are Protesters who say "the Sabbath is Saturday" yet they too worship on "Sunday" (at least my Baptist and Lutheran friends tell me the do?) After all we are not stopping them from worshiping on Sat if they want?) I think it is just another prejudice [and they follow the calendar set by the Pope…and the BOOK approved by the Pope at the Council of Nicea in 325 AD??)
God Bless

What's sad is that there are many, many people (Catholics included) who feel the same way about their own souls. "I am a good person so…."
April 17, 2014 at 7:44 pm
Where does this site display the pictures of all the beautiful Masses? I can't find any- are they hiding in a secret link that I can't find?

There are grave Liturgical Abuses occurring all over this nation…the Mass/Sacrament might, indeed, be valid; as in: The proper form and matter were used to Consecrate the Eucharist…however…this does not negate the fact that the Rubrics are being ignored and the Liturgy is being turned in to a side-show. HORRIFIC.
