The headlines are saying this dude is the first transgender athlete to compete in the Olympics.

My first holdup is when all the articles refer to this dude as a she or her. Nah. That’s a dude.

But secondly, we’re supposed to call this dude a girl AND an athlete. That ain’t no girl. And that ain’t no athlete. Because nothing says “athlete” to me like flabby upper arms, a double chin, and a belly button weighed down by so much cellulite that it’s gazing at the ground like a famished ant-eater.

Anyway, The Insider reports:

Brett Favre says he doesn’t think it’s fair for transgender athletes to compete in the Olympics as women.

The Hall of Fame NFL quarterback on Tuesday spoke out against multiple athletes competing in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics during his podcast “Bolling with Favre.”

Favre addressed the New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard, who will become the first openly transgender athlete to compete in the Olympics after being selected to compete in the women’s super-heavyweight category.

“It’s a man competing as a woman,” Favre said. “That’s unfair.”…

“It’s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled — if you want to become the opposite sex, that’s fine. I got no problem with it,” Favre said. “But you can’t compete against — males cannot compete against females.”

“If I was a true female — I can’t believe I’m saying that — and I was competing in weightlifting and lost to this person, I would be beside myself,” he later added.

Good for him. The hounds of Hell will surely be released on him. He should prepare for some Def-Con 1 level hatred. His sponsors are probably gonna’ drop him. But I’m glad to see that Favre, a Catholic, seems unafraid of what he surely knows is coming. Good for him.
