In the least surprising thing that happened today, the USCCB went full USCCB by USCCBing in their latest USCCB document.
Here’s all you need to know. The initial conversation was battled over but the final measure passed with a vote of 222-8. Whenever you have unanimity from the bishops, you have lukewarm pollyannas, not Catholic teaching.
In short, the US Catholic bishops ended a nearly yearlong debate Wednesday over whether to bar politicians who support abortion rights from receiving the Eucharist, by passing new guidance on Communion that doesn’t actually address the issue.
Babies around the world reacted in the same way:
The measure passed by a vote of 222-8 and was followed by applause at a gathering of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The unborn wept.

Personal sin can be forgiven by repentance and penance. Public sin is a different story. Maybe Biden and others will get to heaven because their bishops will be responsible for not teaching the ways of God.

I have no words. Three points: 1} Even the modernist JP II’s Code of Canon Law clearly precludes heretics {Canon 751} from receiving Holy Communion under Canon 915. Moreover, POTUS is almost certainly excommunicated LATAE SENTENTIAE {automatically} under Canon 1364. I say “probably” only because Joe is so cognitively wanting, he may not suffice the “knowledge” element as laid out in Canon 15-2. 2} Regardless of the USCCB statement, only the Holy Father can change Canon Law. 3}Worse still, it is a DE FIDE teaching that those in a state of mortal sin {including the delict of heresy} are utterly precluded from receiving the Holy Eucharist. These sinners commit a grave sacrilege in doing so, and any cleric who knowingly offers Holy Communion to one in such state likewise commits the sin of sacrilege.

One word came to mind when I heard: Cowards. We do not have spiritual leaders. We have administrators who are cowards.
