The production values look great. It looks solid. The Galadriel voiceover might have been a mistake just because Cate Blanchett’s voiceover at the beginning of the movies was so iconic. But they do it well.

The important thing to me is that it is rated TV14 which means that all the news reports about nudity (like Game of Thrones) may have been overstated. We shall see.

I am dubious about this new series but I want it to be great. I want it to be faithful to Tolkien’s vision and worldview. It likely won’t be but we shall see.

On the other hand, it’s possible that Amazon may be an evil entity in itself and should be boycotted. I can’t decide if Apple, Amazon, or Facebook are the most evil.
