This is what happens when your politics takes precedence over your Christianity.
As you know more than 100 people have been killed in Texas due to flooding and dozens more are missing. A Houston pediatrician has been fired after she suggested that Trump supporters who died in the floods got what they deserved.
“May all visitors, children, non-MAGA voters and pets be safe and dry,” Dr. Christina Propst wrote on social media.
“Kerr County MAGA voted to gut FEMA,” the doctor continued. “They deny climate change. May they get what they voted for. Bless their hearts.”
Yikes.
This is what happens what politics overrides humanity. When your ideology becomes more important than the lives of others you become dangerous. This is a sickness in western civilization right now.
How much funding FEMA should get is a debate? Should it get all the taxpayer funding? No. Of course not. Should it get none? No. OK. So we’re just talking about the correct number for the services they provide. The disagreement probably isn’t that far apart but we tend to say our side is good and you’re a Nazi or a Communist.
Christians are called too better. We are called to see each human being as sacred and precious because God made them and loves them.

I have a ten-spot betting that she is wildly pro-abortion.

So you’re going to stop calling feminists ugly names now and be kind to your political opponents? Quit suggesting that California is a ‘failed state?’ No? Then you’re just one more right wing lying hypocrite.
Also, most of those Tweets saying the kinds of things you quote here have been proven to be right wing troll accounts, but then lying is the only thing right wingers ever do.

Wow, Karen.
A pediatrician – who supposedly has devoted her life to relieving the suffering of children – made a public comment that ignores the suffering of dead children and their parents and turned it into a political diatribe.
And you are similarly turning Mr. A’s article into an attack with political overtones.
*No* human engineered over a billion gallons of water (per NBC reports) falling in less than 30 minutes over the Guadalupe River, which resulted in a very rapid flash flood. Which further resulted in the horrific deaths of over 100 children and other victims, who are being grieved by their devastated loved ones who survive.
It’s. Not. About. Politics. And – It’s. Not. About. Racism.
It didn’t matter if the victims were rich, poor, Black, White, Hispanic – or Democratic, Republican, or too young to vote. The victims were innocents and died in dreadful circumstances in the middle of the night that no one could control. And they all suffered horribly and were terrified. That alone should silence the backbiting and ideally bring out compassion from the rest of us.
We are better than this. Be a Christian. Be a Catholic.

Wow. It looks like a left-wing troll needs a nap and some prune juice

Very well stated, Mr. A.
Where is the empathy and dignity in this woman’s comments?
They echo those of a political appointee of the City of Houston, who posted a vile comment, accusing the children’s camp administration of racism. Would she have been happier if the victims had been Black or Hispanic? Of course, not – no civilized human being would.
When catastrophe strikes – as it did on 9/11 – Americans should be able to put aside politics and hate, and instead to offer practical assistance and relief, comfort, and prayers. Negativity and ones own political views have no place in any of this, and do not help the victims nor their grieving families.
