Sure, hundreds of churches have been ablaze across Europe but no worries because it’s mostly due to short circuits, faulty wiring, and radical anti-Catholicism. But mostly anti-Catholicism.

A fire erupted at the monastery in La Valletta Brianza, near Milan, was where Saint Carlo Acutis took his First Communion. 22 cloistered nuns evacuated. These are real nuns so no pantsuits were harmed in the fire.

The fire broke out Saturday and engulfed the entire building.

Marco Panzeri, mayor of La Valletta Brianza, told local media it was “a disaster, an immense, incalculable damage.” The fire may have been caused by a short circuit, he said.

MAY have been? Just say you don’t know. We don’t know but we don’t want you kooky Catholics getting the right idea that the flames of anti-Catholicism tearing through Europe is a reason to be concerned at all.
