Do you know what liars do? They tell lies. That is what liars do.
Obama lies. It is what he does. He has always known that he would not be able to do much of what he planned to do if he told the truth. So he chooses to lie, often.
He spends trillions while saying the deficit keeps him up at night. That is a lie.
He says that if you like your current health care plan you will get to keep it. That is a lie.
He says, nea he even tells the Pope, that he wants to reduce the number of abortions. That is a lie. It is probably the most damned lie he tells. The abortion industry (not some pro life group) readily acknowledges that government funding of abortion increases the number of abortions. Pay for the abortions – get more abortions. Period.
But Obama has no interest in reducing the number of abortions. He lies. As Gateway Pundit points out:
Already this year, Barack Obama has signed several pieces of abortion legislation including funding foreign abortions. He also signed legislation to use taxpayer money to kill embryos in research. And, democrats are pushing legislation that will force healthcare providers to perform abortions even if it violates their moral or religious convictions.
But these efforts are tiny little white lies compared to the big fat lie. The lie that will dramatically increase the number of abortions in this country. Federally funded abortions via mandatory ObamaCare. Yesterday on Foxnews Sunday, White House Budget Director Peter Orszag admitted that this is the intent. They try to dance around it (aka lie), but this is what they want to do.
For anyone remaining out there who thinks that the idea of universal health care sounds like a good thing, take note. The only thing universal about it is death. This health care plan will bring death. It will ration care which will undoubtedly lead to death for some. The elderly and infirm will be told it is just too expensive to keep them alive and they will be left to die. And the unborn will die in even greater numbers courtesy of your tax dollars and universal health care.
You know what you call a person who tries to sell a plan of death as health care? A liar. That is what you call him.

How is it that Liberals can keep trying to liken Conservatives with "Nazis" when this is obviously right up Hitler's National SOCIALIST alley?
This drives me crazy.
My husband says there are too many stupid people out there…I'm beginning to think he's right.

…And you don't even mention the mandatory death counseling as reported by Wesley J. Smith!

So, abortion coverage "will be part of the debate" at some future time? When? The 15 minutes that the actual plan gets "debated" in Congress after the actual terms of the plan are submitted at 4am the morning of the vote?
This is just so slimely. Mr. Orszag is on that program because the "debate" about health care is happening right now!

Here are the links to the people who will vote on this. I do not know if these will work. If not just search for United States Congress and United States Senate and got their websites. All the legislators are listed. Send emails and call. They may back off on this one if they hear enough strong opposition from the voters. We've only got a few days to weeks to stop it. Kit

In a capitalist system that is oriented towards the almighty dollar, denying coverage because of age or infirmnity has been damned by officials in the government as being immoral. It is.
In a socialist system, denying coverage because of age or infirmity meaning the cost is too much for the state is patriotic.
If the goal is true universal health care for all, then cost cannot play a role. Economics in this circumstance equal death.
When an insurance company denies coverage, we can sue. We can fight using phone calls and letters and lawyers and we can even call congress and the news to get attention. If the government makes the decision, who do we fight? Who do we get to fight for us?

Elizabeth – I think your husband is right.
Was it not some founding father claiming a certain level of education for self-government…….
If self-government is an indication for a reasonable level of education, what does socialism indicate then?
Mercy!

More evidence that ObamaCare is pro-death from Rush Limbaugh: "[W]e have found something else in the health care bill. Page 425 to page 430. The House version of the health care bill is going to require mandatory counseling for all seniors at a minimum of every five years, more often if the senior is sick or in a nursing home." (snip) "And as Don Parker writes here at the American Thinker, 'Don't even think that anyone should receive mandatory counseling regarding the end-of-life issues surrounding abortion.' That's an invasion of the right to privacy. We can't have counseling for mothers who are thinking of terminating their pregnancy, but we can go in there and counsel people about to die."

Oops, sorry, I didn't notice Catholic Audio had already brought the death counseling to your attention.

I think the current system of denying healthcarer to unemployed people and their families is what works best. I really don't care if someone has a two-year old with untreated leukemia or some other disease. Why should I pay for someone else's kid when I need to worry about how well my stocks and retirement portfolios are doing. Treating other people's illnesses won't make me rich. I hate big government. Just give me my guns, God and religion.

I don't need no Pope to tell me what to think when I got Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to tell me what to think. At least they don't have any agendas and they're fair and balanced.

Lovely bunch of straw there, Anonymous. It almost resembles a man…
Who is denied treatment in the US?
For the record, I'm unemployed right now, paying for my own insurance (including a recent birth, #6). Under the universal healthcare bill under consideration in the House, I wouldn't been able to get that private insurance, I would have had to use government insurance. I also wonder if they would have refused to cover this pregnancy, since it was #6, but would have covered abortion.
I see that last bit happening quickly under socialized medicine.

What if anonymous resembles a woman who pays $850 a month for health insurance only to be denied cancer treatment for her five year old daughter? Aborting her is not and never was an option. Please don't lecture anonymous bloggers since you clearly do not understand other people's situations.

Anonymous,
It seems as if you sort of started the "lecturing [of]…anonymous bloggers", so I guess either learn to listen to other people disagreeing with you or don't pick fights online, you know?
I think the issue here isn't that all conservatives are against providing health care to more people or all people, although, you're right, some are; If we could provide health care to more or all people without jeapordizing the lives of the unborn and the elderly and the well-being of women who choose to have large families, then maybe there would be some support from both sides. If only one side "wins" here, no one wins.
I'm sure that no one wants to deny coverage to children or cancer patients or anyone…but we either end up funding some very anti-life legislation (like paying for abortion, IVF, "end of life" options) or we deny anti-life legislation (like we're doing now: not giving everyone benefits that are actually health CARE).
