A white man shooting up Asian Massage parlors is a trend, a sign of the ugly racism that is the foundation of our country, according to the media.

But when the Boulder shooter was reported as 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, the media had to change things up a bit. Now, this guy was a lone wolf. Disturbed and paranoid. No trend here. The motive may never truly be known.

Everything must be politicized, weaponized in our culture. We use others. Their worth is solely judged on how they can benefit the movement we’ve tied ourselves to. And when tragedy strikes, many don’t seek truth but narratives.

This is a dark time.
