You might not know that it’s called the Parental Rights Act because the media will only refer to it as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. This is a big win, not because it will inspire other GOP governors to follow suit because it won’t. Cowardice is epidemic among the GOP elites. In fact, I don’t even know if it’s cowardice or that they actually agree with the left on most things but lie to us around election years.
This is big because DeSantis is leading. He is unafraid. He’s pushing back.
Typically, when a big company like Disney slams and Republican governor they cower.
Disney slammed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill after the legislation was officially signed into law.
“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law,” the company said. “Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”
The Parental Rights in Education bill prohibits Florida educators from teaching about sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade, with a provision that enables parents to sue if they allege schools or instructors have been in violation.
I guess it should be a concern to us that the company that makes movies for children thinks schools should be teaching kindergarteners about gay sex and gender bending.
All the big companies and all the media excoriated this bill and him and what did he do? This:

Protecting children from people like this should be a priority (language warning:)
These are internal messages from a 4th grade elementary teacher in @AustinISD. She’s upset that an entire week dedicated to LGBT still wasn’t good enough. Coincidentally, 20/32 of her FOURTH GRADERS are LGBT and have “come out” to her
