Ugh.
This is intentionally divisive. He is seeking to divide the Church. Pope Francis often does this. Instead of arguing a point he insults those with whom he doesn’t agree.

Worst pope in history, bar none, without a doubt. May his reign end soon.

His Holiness is exactly on point. Rigidity to dogma in the face of new revelations is not a foundation on which to preserve the faith.

There can be no new public revelation that could alter or add to the Deposit of Faith. Jesus and the Apostles have told us to hold rigidly to the Faith once for all delivered to the saints. St. Paul tells us in Galatians 1:6-9 that if anyone tells us differently, let him be anathema.
Anyone.
Even a pope.

” Rigidity to dogma in the face of new revelations is not a foundation on which to preserve the faith.”
Oh yes it is. Founded by Christ upon the rock that is Peter, The Church has presevered the faith for almost 2000 years.
“…in the face of new revelations…”
Really? NEW revelations? Which ones are you talking about? The Church has declare that public revelation was completed, finished at the completion of the New Testament and when the last Apostle died. Private revelations are just that; private. The faithful are not held to believe in them even though they may have been approved by the Church. Popes are there to defend the Truths, dogmas and doctrines of the Church and preserve them through the ages.

That comment reveals a lack of understanding about dogma, revelation and how they complement each other rather than compete with each other.

Bergoglio is not a Catholic, a member of the Church Militant. Draw the conclusions regarding his claimed papacy.

Treating the papacy as oracular, as a source of new revelation, is a form of idolatry. Popes are not little gods walking around on the earth, dispensing divine wisdom. Enough of this.

I loved Archbishop Vigano’s short response in a flip of the script by holding a mirror up to the likes of Francis and his ilk… basically asking, “So, who’s holding onto the rigid ‘traditions’ of Vat2?” LOL

Let his bishopric another take. Preferably a Christian this time.
