In May of 2005, 5 Sisters of Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration left Mother Angelica and their home convent in Alabama to head out to the desert. At the invitation of the Bishop of Phoenix, these nuns were start the first contemplative convent in the Phoenix area. This past week they broke ground on their new convent.
