The governor, who’s Catholic doncha’ know, just signed into law that crisis pregnancy centers must disseminate information about free access to abortion in the state.
Because, you know, free speech rights must be subservient to the all important right to kill tiny human beings.
Here’s what they must post, according to CNS News:
“California has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive family planning services (including all FDA-approved methods of contraception), prenatal care, and abortion for eligible women. To determine whether you qualify, contact the county social services office at [insert the telephone number].”
If a pregnancy center doesn’t do exactly what they’re told by their omniscient overlords in the state government they must pay $500 the first time and $1,000 for subsequent offenses.
The real reason for this is to drum up business for abortionists and punish pro-lifers. The author of the bill, Assembly member David Chiu, said “a growing and alarming movement is working to mislead women in order to achieve their political ideology. We have a responsibility as lawmakers to make sure that the information given to women who are making their own healthcare decisions is accurate and timely.”
I love when pro-aborts accuse of pro-lifers of misleading. Have they been around the past few months while the Center for Medical Progress videos have come out?
