A pro-life club at the University of Alberta is demanding that a pro-life club pony up $17,500 for the right to hold an event on campus.
You see, what the campus is saying is that the event will be controversial and dangerous because pro-aborts will act like lunatics when faced with the reality of abortion. Therefore, for their own safety, they’ll have to pony up boku bucks.
The deputy provost of the university said the university would ask for less money if the pro-life group just made some minor accommodations such as moving the pro-life display indoors where nobody could see it.
So the pro-life group has now cancelled the event.
Last year’s event was obstructed by a counter protest and vandalized extensively. Gee, it’s almost like the vandalizers and the university are on the same page, huh?
