Went to back to school night. I think Catholic schools are in desperate need of increased funding because they’ve clearly made the desks smaller. The seats are tiny. In my daughter’s Math class I was a little embarrassed. When I stood up to leave the desk was coming with me.

I’m sitting there in a panic wondering if anyone would notice if I walked out real confident that maybe they wouldn’t notice the desk attached to me.

Next year I’m gonna put butter packets into all my pockets and in case of emergency, I’ll squish them to make getting out of the chair easier. I’ll slither right out.

Or maybe I’ll just be smart and stand in the back with the other Dads. But probably not.
