This is sad.
Jane Marczewski aka Nightbirde performed on America’s Got Talent last year and earned a golden buzzer. Her song “It’s OK” reached the number one spot on iTunes charts but the singer/songwriter had to step away from live performances due to her battle with cancer.
Her optimism and joy touched millions as did her faith in God.
“It’s important that everyone knows that I’m so much more than the bad things that happened to me,” she said at her audition.
Nightbirde often spoke openly of her faith. In one Instagram post, she said, “Life is complicated and friendship with God does not make life less complicated but as I get older I am realizing that I would not have it any other way.”
Todd Starnes reports that Jane Marczewski died at age 31 after a years-long battle with cancer.
“The Liberty University graduate and Zanesville, Ohio native passed away Sunday after months of undergoing treatments for cancer which had spread to her lungs, spine and liver, according to the outlet.
Marczewski stunned AGT judges last year with her original song, “It’s Okay,” which brought Simon Cowell to tears…
She had to drop out of AGT mid-season in August to focus on her health and had posted updates on social media.”
Here’s Nightbirde’s amazingly beautiful performance that moved Simon Cowell to tears.
RIP Nightbirde.
