Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who also is chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, recently said: “Free speech does not include spreading misinformation to downplay political violence.”

Does he mean something like this:

No. He means this:

And this:

Or This:

If free speech doesn’t include the right to be wrong, the only remaining question is who gets to decide what’s right and what’s wrong.

The state, Big Tech, and the media are all together on how dangerous it is for you to be able to say something they don’t believe. They are uncomfortable with your ability to reach the masses through online media. They believe that is their domain. Now, anyone can do it and they’re unhappy.

In this NBC clip, the news desk guy actually says it. He essentially says free speech was ok back in the day but now that people can reach so many more people it is incumbent that it be curbed. I’ll give credit to Vivek Ramaswamy, a tech guru, for countering that argument very effectively.

This election will decide the fate of free speech, at least for a while. We must defend free speech with our voice and our vote or we will lose it forever.
