Our social media overlords aren’t underwhelming woke-ists intent on silencing dissent.
It shouldn’t worry you a bit that those in charge who say they’re doing it all for the children can’t define what a child is.
Boy? Girl? Human? Who’s to know?
If you feel that this world is a maelstrom, a thin soup that offers no sustenance just keep voting the right way because they’ll eventually supply your every need -if only they can get rid of those pesky others who stand in their way.
That is their way.
But when their truths only make the world more confusing and you realize their words are only meant to deceive, know that there is truth.
Is it any wonder that the Church is in the crosshairs of the government, the media, Big Tech, and academia?
Follow Christ.
The world has made Him the enemy. Those who persecute His followers come in the guise of liberators. But they are oppressors who don’t believe in truth. They shun love. They embrace confusion.
Right now it takes great strength to follow Christ. The world will side-eye you. Shake their heads. Silence you. Cancel you. Or worse.
It’s because lies can not stand truth. And when the lie becomes comfortable, the truth can seem inconvenient and even oppressive. It is not. Jesus has come to set you free. Follow him, not the world.

Amen. Chesterton spoke of this a century ago:

Good laws may be unable to make good people, but good laws are still worth having. Sadly, the “tradition” of Chesterton’s day is still retained today, at least by Republicans. That is why little that is really useful is done even when Republicans hold the White House and both houses of Congress.
