Is life so meaningless now?
How do you understand this to be true while also believing that marijuana use is harmless.

The harmlessness of marijuana is one of the great lies of our age, among many others.
Several studies report that cancer is actually more likely for marijuana smokers than cigarette smokers. It can permanently damage your IQ. It IS addictive. Driving under the influence leads to more people being killed. That’s a fact. Frequent marijuana use leads to higher suicide rates.
Don’t believe the lie about the harmlessness of marijuana.
Why don’t more adults point this out? It’s because they’re afraid of not being cool. Seriously. They remember smoking and listening to Santana while their parents warned them about the dangers of pot. They laughed and said that their parents just don’t understand. They were squares. Those same kids have grown up and live in terrible fear of being called uncool. Why? Because they never grew up. They are still adolescents in aging bodies.
Oh, and by the way, this idiot judge just gave a license to kill to any pot smoker out there. Nice job, moron.

well, duh. only the truly naive or foolish thought “medicine” was the ultimate goal of legal weed. I certainly dont support big pharma, but there is a research-based method to developing, regulating and administering prescription drugs. All of which are circumvented by drug companies and corrupt physicians, but the process is there to protect people. Legalizing weed was based on the fact it may have medical uses. Lets legalize it and find out…hows that working?

Her date gave her a second bong hit after she didn’t get high off the first hit. She was an inexperienced and naive pot smoker. It occurred in her date’s apartment. I think the finding that she was involuntarily intoxicated is true, therefore she wasn’t responsible for her actions while high on the drug that her date/victim encouraged/pressured her to take. The light sentence is just, considering the facts.
It’s important not to misconstrue things based on a selective understanding or reporting of the facts. You seem to do that a lot.

I have suspicions about this case, as presented here. Haven’t followed it. What I have done is consume near infinite amounts of weed for decades, until 1994. Never, not once, did it cause me or someone i was with or even heard about to go homocidal. Quite the oposite in fact [dudes…] I’ve heard of paranoia but never understood it. They say the dope these days is way, way stronger. Still…
Something doesn’t add up. This may not be the last we hear of this poor soul. The photographer deserves an award.

If only doctors could track things like this.
Oh, wait.

Please note that “modern” cannabis has been bred to have significantly higher amounts of THC than the “original” version grown in the wild or even in a “Toledo window box.”
This is not an excuse for this woman. But more of a wakeup to those older folks who don’t see the big deal.

This article is as irrational as it is hypocritical. I’m not a marijuana smoker/user nor do I take drugs of any kind, and even I know marijuana is far less dangerous to one’s overall health than other drugs, but most specifically alcohol. Recent studies have shown that the vast majority of marijuana-related deaths are from accidents (99%). This is because of the sedative affects of marijuana. This woman’s psychotic reaction to cannabis is atypical to say the least. And again, alcohol abuse is SIX TIMES as likely to result in domestic violence than any other drug. So…what exactly is everyone planning to ban here?
