I can not even imagine what would bring someone to the point where they would attack young children. It sickens me, horrifies me. All of the families which have been torn apart should remain in our prayers.

Children were among 22 people killed in a suicide attack after an Ariana Grande concert at Britain’s Manchester Arena, police said early Tuesday.

The bomber also died when he detonated an improvised explosive device near one of the venue’s exits at 10:33 p.m. local time (5:33 p.m. ET) on Monday, according to authorities.

Officials said 59 other people were wounded, including some with life-threatening injuries. Many others remained missing.
The incident sparked a nightlong search for loved ones as frantic parents tried to locate their children, and groups of friends scattered by the explosion sought each another.

But a CBS reporter saw the tragedy as a good time for some humor. Steven Leavitt who says he reports for CBS among other publications and has a verified account on Twitter, had this to say:

“MULTIPLE CONFIRMED FATALITIES at Manchester Arena. The last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too.”

Ugh. What? A punchline? Now?

Pray for the families affected by this awful terrorist attack. And pray that we don’t live in a country that is so callous as to see the term “Multiple Confirmed Fatalities” as the setup for a rimshot.
