Rosalind Moss, apologist, radio and television host, who was born as a conservative Jew, became an evangelical protestant for 18 years before becoming Catholic, is becoming a nun. Not only that, she is founding her own community of sisters in St. Louis with the permission of none other than Archbishop Raymond L. Burke. From Catholic News:
Moss, an author who is an Eternal Word Television Network TV host and one of the network’s radio hosts, announced Feb. 13 that she is starting a new community of sisters in the Archdiocese of St. Louis with the permission of Archbishop Raymond L. Burke.
The new group will be called the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope, she told an audience of more than 200 at the Catholic Breakfast Club of Sacramento.
Moss, 65, said she hopes to move to St. Louis within a few months, intends to fulfill as many of her scheduled speaking engagements in the coming year as possible, and plans to continue her radio program from St. Louis.
She is working now on designing a floor-length habit, along with a basket to hold religious articles which sisters will distribute both in the poorest areas of the city and the richest.
“The purpose of this religious community is to flood the world with holy habits as signs to God,” said Moss, who is also a staff apologist with Catholic Answers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the Catholic faith through all forms of media.
This is amazing news. Sister (or Mother?) Rosalind will be in our prayers.

Her name will be Sister Miriam of the Lamb of God. (Or perhaps Mother, but from her brother’s newsletter, it is Sister).
God bless!

I personally think this woman is really deranged and very dangerous at that. She's living out a fantasy about herself and the Church.Have you never noticed how affected and put her voice actually is and her ideas about habits and serving the poor with great baskets of food are manic and silly, from a different period in Christianity.argonought@hotmail.co.uk

This woman i s absolutely crazy it even shows in her photographs , she is absolutely obsessed with rewriting the religious life in terms of her nonsensical preoccupation. So far only a handful of people have joined the charade !

I don't revise my opinion of this person. The tapes she peddles through St Joseph Radio are the most horrible things, how dare she think she can become a nun believing utterly sinister garbage like that ? Rosalind Moss ought to make up her mind about who she even is, before trying to tell people to be better Catholics and Christians ! Habits that touch the floor…honestly ! The cheaply affected Katherine Hepburn voice is also ludicrous.

Ok, Jason, we get it! Hypocrite! The only person who sounds insane is you. Practice your faith (if you have one) for once!

Sr. Rosalind sent out a "group letter" advising that she's now back in St. Louis and waiting to meet with Bishop Carlson. If all goes well with that, she will begin going through the many applications she's received and contacting people individually, hopefully by the end of the summer. As of now, there can't be any "Come and See" visits because the bishop hasn't spoken with her yet. She seems as enthusiastic as ever about the new community. Her note was filled with joy and a great love and trust in Our Lord.
