A Maine judiciary committee is moving forward with their effort to create what they call a ‘safe haven’ for children under 18 years of age seeking sex changes. If the child’s parent disagrees the state will act as the guardian of the child.
This is a threat to parents. Go along or lose your child. This madness must be resisted. The fact that we’re even contemplating this moral lunacy stuns me.
The ‘Act to Safeguard Gender Affirming Health Care’ would enable certain out-of-state teens to access hormone blockers or surgery without their parents’ consent regardless of their own state’s laws.
A work session on the bill, LD 1735 was postponed until January 25.
