I am sure you have heard about the Connecticut teen who has been medically kidnapped and forced to undergo chemotherapy because her parents sought a second opinion.

This is just the latest case of state-knows-best medical kidnapping.

Every time I see one of these stories I marvel at the response of the families. Every time I try to put myself in the shoes of these parents, every conceivable scenario looks like Ruby Ridge. If the state took my kids away under such circumstances, let’s just say, there will be barricades and booby traps.

How do the parents fight the urge to go all Liam Neeson?  I don’t think I could.
