The Vice President of the National Teacher’s Union believes in Hell. Unfortunately, she believes that she gets to decide who goes there.
Weasel Zippers reports:
Leaders of the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers are among those leftists who were hoping for strong new anti-firearm legislation from Washington, D.C.
And they very much hate the National Rifle Association, the group that keeps fighting off such measures.
NEA Vice President Lily Eskelsen Garcia even believes she looked into their souls and determined that NRA leaders and supporters “are going to hell.”
“I’m not an ordained minister, I’m not a theologian, but these guys are going to hell,” she said at the annual Netroots Nation conference last week, according to Mercury News.
I know we talked about not being able to mention God and Heaven in schools. But I guess it’s ok to mention Hell and Satan.

I'm always a big fan of being critical of the NEA and AFT. I’m doing everything in my power to support parochial schools. Competition and choice breed success, not unions and tenure. The protection of mediocrity is not what the American school system needs. Maybe Mrs. Garcia can find a better career as a bishop for the Episcopal Church http://www.catholicworldreport.com/Blog/2357/nytimes_works_mightly_to_support_the_struggling_dr_schori.aspx

One of the major weaknesses in the unions continuing to limit themselves to lobbying activity is that more and more of the people in those unions would be happy to leave them. What was learned in WI with the union fight was that a full 45% of union members did NOT support the loyalty to the DNC of the union and the anti religious stance. Unions like the two political parties have entrenched themselves in legislation and feel they are immune to their own ignorance, but I suspect those days are getting numbered.

So when are Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck going to withdraw from their union?
