It is finally here!! Tomorrow is the day my baby chicks arrive!
I am putting finishing touches on the brooder and the coop is a work in progress. I have 5 weeks to finish that!
The kids are very excited. We will be getting 6 chicks in total. 3 Barred Plymouths and 3 Red Cross (a variation on Rhode Island Reds)
My kids asked if they could name them. I said sure as long as the names are Nugget, Extra-Crispy, Cordon Bleu etc…
We are getting them for the eggs, but when the egg laying is done, the pot awaits.
