Massachusetts was voting to legalize assisted suicide which would have been terrible. But as of now, it seems the measure is going down. That’s the latest anyway – and it seems to be the one bright spot of a horrible horrible night.
The Boston Globe surprisingly came out against it and Victoria “Reggie” Kennedy — Sen. Edward Kennedy’s widow — did as well, citing her husband Teddy Kennedy outliving his prognosis for almost a year.
This is some good news. So while the entire country voted for their own metaphorical suicide, at least literal suicide is still off the table in Massachusetts.
