We can all be hypocrites. We typically talk a better game than we actually walk. But this has to be a record or something. It’s pretty rare to be so completely and comically hypocritical as Chris Matthews was yesterday on his television show.

In the span of ten seconds Matthews pats himself on the back for never attacking political opponents personally and then smugly makes a fat joke about Republican Governor Chris Christie. It may have even been in the same rancid breath.

Note: Matthews was the commencement speaker at my Catholic college two years ago.
