Hmm. I was thinking the last panel would be more like the Monty Python sketch where they threaten the old lady with: “The comfy chair!!”

This is brilliant.

A little… ahem, creative persuasion,… in the here and now might spare Sen. Pelosi an eternity of torment.

I’ve told my co-workers that people like her is why we had the inquisition in the first place.
It takes them awhile to figure out it was a joke.
Takes them a bit longer to figure out that maybe its only half a joke.

I don’t comprehend visually the final panel. Someone explain if for the blind-as-a-hamster among us.

It is a torture room. Old school inquisition seems to be the joke.

Thanks. Sigh. I miss the Inquisition.

I get the joke, I just don’t find it very humorous.

Then lighten up.

Hmmm…at first I thought that last panel portrayed a confessional…but nnnooo…then thought it looked like an altar/tabernacle/hands raised…mmm, don’t think so…never considered the Inquisition. Good grief! Shades of, “Ve haf vays uff making you talk!!!” (Of course there are those who equate the confessional with the Inquisition…so there you are.)

I think Mary Ann’s idea would be better, if the last panel were a confessional. But that would be too serious to be humorous, perhaps.
The “over the top” nature of the torture chamber scene (which I saw instantly, and am having trouble seeing how it could be seen differently) is what provides the humor.
