In modern, American Catholic history, we have seen the likes of giants such as Bp.Fulton Sheen and Fr. Richard John Neuhaus who reach out to the "broader" audience that longs to understand the catholic experience. We are still blessed with many other prominent, eloquent voices such as Frs. Corapi, Pacwa and Rutler. But for this new century, I feel that Fr. Barron is the voice that will be most greatly heard and understood by diverse catholics. I know he has his critics, some in my own parish clergy. But, the depth of insight, his manner and deportment, and his inner joy and peace shine through mightily to me. Bravo, Fr. Barron.

Really? What are the criticisms of Fr. Barron? I've never heard any.

Without going into detail, there are always some who think that Barron, or any thoughtful commentator, talks "above" whatever they deem the average person's ability to comprehend and follow a dialectical argument. I wished I could say the same as you, but I've run into such.

This will be a thing of beauty and a beacon of hope which shines in the darkness. Fr. Barron is an exellent messenger for this time. God sends us such messengers, it seems, when hope is most needed. This work has the potential to transform the world. Eloquent, artistic, intellectual…Fr. Barron is firing on all cylinders. Thank God for it.
