“Integrity without knowledge is weak and useless, and knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful.” — Samuel Johnson
When reading the absurd comments of Harry Knox, who serves on President Barack Obama’s faith-based advisory council, I cannot help but think that Samuel Johnson missed a category.
In 2009, in response to the Pope’s comments about condoms and AIDS in Africa, Knox said that the Pope is “hurting people in the name of Jesus.” This past week, Knox was asked if he stood by this statement and he answered with an emphatic “I do.”
Knox’s statement is as ignorant as it is lacking in integrity.

People who criticize the Church's position on the issue of condoms for AIDs prevention seem to believe that someone who ignores Church teaching on fornication will obey Church teaching on contraception. Such stupidity is difficult to comprehend.

Even if you don't cast it in terms of obedience to the magisterium, it's still a question of judgment. Just as seat belts don't make bad drivers good, condoms and pills don't make risky sex safe. If you pick up a random stranger for a one-stand, it doesn't matter whether or not you also pick up a disease … you're still exercising poor judgment. If you have a fling with your best friend's spouse, or your spouse's best friend, it doesn't matter if you/she gets pregnant or not … you're still exercising poor judgment.
We've been sold lies about sex for almost fifty years. Sooner or later, their ability to maintain the lie will collapse, just as did the Soviet Union.

Criticize the Church is not new and it never will be. We live in the domain of Satan and if you continue to refuse God's help by ignoring your obligations as a Catholic it will only get worse. Bad things happen because Good Men do nothing.
REPENT the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand…..
It's 10% what they say and 90% how you react to it. To ignore evil is the duty of MANKIND.

In Africa, the small countries that push abstinence from extra-marital sex have lower rates of STD infections than the ones that push condoms.
