The headlines everywhere are saying that “Catholic” groups are lining up against the pro-life Susan B. Anthony group. That kills me when I see that because so many people are going to see that and be confused by it. But here’s the thing -that’s why they’re doing it. They’re doing it to confuse Catholics and pro-lifers because they want to still pretend there’s some mystery as to whether Obamacare funds abortions.
Last month it was proven that Obamacare would fund abortions. That was quickly put on pause when pro-life groups raised a red flag on it but there’s no doubt that it will be reinserted at some point.
Here’s the particulars from The Politico:
The Susan B. Anthony List, a group that supports female candidates who oppose abortion rights, has spent most of August on a bus tour of swing districts, protesting anti-abortion Democrats who voted for the bill — and the tour has drawn noisy counterprotests from Catholic groups and pro-abortion-rights organizations. SBA stopped in Pennsylvania to take aim at Rep. Kathleen Dahlkemper (D-Pa.), an anti-abortion Democrat who voted for health reform.
Catholics United, a group that aired ads thanking anti-abortion Democrats for voting “yes” on health reform, protested Monday at SBA List stops in Pennsylvania cities including Erie, Meadville, Grove City and Butler.
“They have one goal, and that is to perpetrate the lie that the executive order really did prohibit government funding of abortion,” said former Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, now a spokeswoman for SBA List. “We are exposing the hypocrisy of these so-called pro-life Democrats. Catholics United was trying to give them cover, and it doesn’t work.”
So I’ll trust the SBA over the “Catholic” groups on this one. I’m sorry to say it but it’s true.
Sadly, these “Catholic” groups will continue getting tons o’ media coverage so it’s up to the new media folks like us and you to get the word out.

I'm with you on "So I'll trust the SBA over the 'Catholic' groups on this one. I'm sorry to say it but it's true."
See here from Lifesitenews.com.
"But an Associated Press report shows that the NMMIP had not tailored its package to meet federal guidelines as of Wednesday, validating NRLC’s concerns, because they received no guidance on the issue from HHS.
"NMMIP’s deputy director Michelle Grisham initially told the AP Wednesday that they were going to leave the package as is, and then a little later in the day told the AP that they were 'in the process of correcting the package so it will not have elective abortion coverage.'
"Grisham told the AP their contract with HHS stated they must follow all federal regulations and guidelines, but lacked what the AP described as 'a clear-cut mention of abortion coverage.'"

It would be nice if the bishops will call these deceivers out. But that seems to become more and more ineffective so perhaps, the Church militant needs to be more militant about this. We saw what happened when we let this go i.e. Obama got elected and hundreds of millions worldwide will be aborted more easily. The Church needs to take that lesson and learn that we cannot let these people continue to deceive others. Imagine if everyone in your parish will stop by whenever they see these pretenders and either give a primal scream or blast their horns. That'll be a lot of primal screams that will be heard up to the White House and Congress.
And I agree with your suggestion of getting the word out and exposing these deceivers. Of course, prayers are always first and foremost.

Notice the use of the word "elective". All abortions will be considered medically necessary, i.e., for the "health" of the mother. None will be considered "elective". (In the early days they used to use the term "therapeutic". "Therapeutic" abortions were, of course, considered good. Now all abortions are "therapeutic".) Hence, abortion will be paid for by our tax dollars. Once again, the pro-life rubes have been taken for a ride.

"catholics united" is indeed a scurrilous and deeply disgusting group. During the last election, they made a big deal about McCain accepting the endorsement of an anti-Catholic preacher (can't remember his name). They called on all Catholics to reject McCain until he apologyzed/renounced the endorsement. I don't think they expected him to do so…but he did. After which, they not so much as acknowledged it, let alone thanked him for it.
"catholics united" is a front for liberal, pro-abortion, pro-women's ordination democrats. That's it. Unfortunately, we have no inquisition to regulate the useage of the word "Catholic".

And you will know them by their fruit. -forgive me as I cannot name the verse off the top of my head; but it's all that comes to mind when I think of these groups that call themselves "catholic" for if only they were "catholic" then we would know them by the fruit of not supporting abortion.
I find it rather strange at the coincidence of how the name "Catholics United" bares in likeness to "Planned Parenthood".

If the USCCB had been doing its job, a diocesan representative would have been riding on the SBA bus as it entered each city, and at each Catholics United protest, would have handed out statements reiterating the Church's teaching on abortion and declaring a "finding of fact" that Obamacare does indeed fund abortion. Oh, and one more thing: a leaflet for the protesters, reminding them of the Canon law provision for "latae sententiae" excommunication for obstinate public opposition to Catholic doctrine.
