Why is it amazing that somebody who kills babies for a living is a liar as well.
A few weeks ago there were dozens of stories about a bomb scare at an abortion clinic in Tulsa. Those murderous crazy right wingers up to their old tricks again, right?
Not so much.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The former director of an Oklahoma abortion clinic has been charged with making false or misleading statements after telling police she’d found a bomb at the facility, according to federal court documents.
Investigators said Linda Meek reported on Aug. 13 that a bomb had been placed in a trash can at Reproductive Services of Tulsa, according to documents filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Tulsa. The clinic, which was bombed twice in 1997, and an adjacent building were evacuated, but a bomb technician determined that a suspicious box in the trash can was not an explosive.
Meek, who left her position with the clinic after the incident, is charged with conveying false or misleading information, according to the documents. Meek, 63, is scheduled to make an initial court appearance in federal court on Thursday. She faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
The title of the piece is misleading. “Ex-leader of abortion clinic charged in bomb scare” makes it sound as if some crazed ex-employee did something bizarre. When the incident happened, she was still employed at the clinic.
I suppose that now that we know that this was not the work of a right wing extremist but a left wing one, it is time for everyone to move on.
Its not like a left-wing anti-life extremest held 1700 people hostage at gunpoint or anything. Now that would be a big story. Or not.
Andy Warhol famously said “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” He forgot to include the left-wing extremest caveat.

I'm wondering what the details here are. The fact is this place was bombed twice before. So, did this woman get panicky when she saw something that in her lapse of judgement she thought was "suspicious" and call the authorities as a knee-jerk reaction then realize she jumped the gun and tried to cover it up? Or did she premeditatedly concoct a strategy to make it look like there was a bomb for publicity? It seems it might be the former since in the case of the latter, she would have had to a) product a real bomb or b) be aware she would have had to face the consequences of there NOT being a bomb.
Either way, this woman does not seem to be very ballanced. It could be that a guilty conscience and self-sabotage was indeed at work here.

Sad that this is what our world has been reduced to.

Then there was thisd lie by Planned Parenthood of Oklahoma City chief executive Anita Fream when said that it isn't the policy of abortion rights activists to make pro-life advocates appear violent or dangerous. Oh yeah? Then why are they pushing for bubble zones & using the claim we are violent & dangerous to do so?
