A Democrat from Colorado arguing against the second amendment said that some women on college campuses may feel like they’re about to be raped but they’re actually not so they shouldn’t be allowed to decide if they want to carry a firearm.
In other words, women are too stupid to know when they’re about to be raped, that decision is best left to government officials.
Let’s remember for a moment, the national conversation we were forced to endure surrounding Todd Akin’s comments about “legitimate rape.” But something tells me that these comments will not provoke similar scrutiny. Hey, I’d be glad to be wrong but I’m pretty sure I’m not.
It seems some are pro-choice when it comes to killing the defenseless unborn but if a woman wants to defend herself from a rapist, she doesn’t have that right.
Leave it to the University of Colorado Springs to get in on the act and issue advice on what to do in case you’re being raped. They include, according to National Review:
If your life is in danger, passive resistance may be your best defense.
Tell your attacker that you have a disease or are menstruating.
Vomiting or urinating may also convince the attacker to leave you alone.
Understand that some actions on your part might lead to more harm.
Pathetic.
