Senator Patty Murray, according to CNS News, is stunned that nine people in black robes are getting to decide a major issue, and not her.
I know, right?
“I’ve worked hard to make sure that women have access to the right kinds of health care, and it’s their choice, not their employer’s choice,” Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Tuesday.
“Sitting in that court today, it was stunning to me to recognize that nine people are going to make that decision — and will decide for a long time to come — whether women have to question when they go to work every day what the shareholders of that company’s religious views could be.”
Senator Murray seems only concerned with the Supreme Court defending actual rights such as religious liberty, and not creating rights such as the right to abortion.
Darn that Constitution.

Contraception isn't "healthcare."
That is all.

the problems I have with this are:
1. (repeat) contraception is NOT healthcare.
2. contraception is so widely available that NOTHING anyone does will prevent a womans access to it.
3. WHy are employers involved in healthcare AT ALL? If the gubment wants to have healthcare, do it themselves. THe fools put companies right in the middle of healthcare decisions and then whines that companies are involved in healthcare decisions. That is impressive even for the idiocy of a politician.

1. Killing babies is not health care.
2. We have the government for which The People (bless them) voted.
3. The Supreme Court seems to be made up of the Inner Ring of C. S. Lewis' THAT HIDEOUS STRENGTH.

So she is worried about judicial over reach?
Sorry, too late! Been done already!
It wasn't Roe v Wade that did it.
It was Doe v Bolton! Does the "thought" of being pregnant give you a headache? Then you can legally kill your baby.
Both colossal mistakes!
Greatest judiciary over reach in the modern age!
With millions of unborn dead since, uhm, what were you whinning about, ms warren?

Arguably, it was done in Marbury v. Madison, when the judiciary bootstrapped itself into the position of deciding what the Constitution *really* says. If you can't find that principle in the Constitution, it doesn't matter, because the Court says it is the only body able to understand the Constitution.

Murray expands access by mandating religious employers. Courts say Murray's actions were illegal. Result is that no one loses anything and no one gains anything. But apparently for progressives they own what they want, even if you own it, even if their confiscation is illegal.
