Given that Nancy Pelosi couldn’t be more extreme in her defense of abortion, it’s telling, I think, to note how she handles the question about the humanity of the unborn.
When asked earlier this year by a journalist whether an unborn fetus at 20 is considered a human being, Pelosi responded by telling a story about someone saying to her that she believes she knows more about having babies than the pope. She added, “Yeah. That would be true.”
Hmmmm.
Now, last week, CNSNews.com asked Pelosi, “In reference to funding for Planned Parenthood, is an unborn baby with a human heart and a human liver a human being?…If it’s not a human being, what species is it?”
Pelosi, after being clearly flummoxed and angered, said, “I am a devout practicing Catholic, a mother of five children. When my baby was born, my fifth child, my oldest child was six years old. I think I know more about this subject than you, with all due respect.”
Now, given that Pelosi defends abortion and isn’t willing to declare the unborn as humans, isn’t it odd that every time she’s asked about abortion she brings up giving birth to her actual real live children.
This is a scary thought actually because it’s almost easier to believe that pro-abortion politicians are truly deluded about the question of life. It’s easier to accept some semblance of invincible ignorance on their part. But the fact that Pelosi keeps bringing up giving birth to children when asked about abortion tells you all you need to know. She knows. She just doesn’t care.
And that’s a real scary thought.
